Design approval for APR+

摘要

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power has obtained standard design approval from the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission for its 1500 MW APR+ reactor design. It is an evolution of the Korean standard nuclear power plant (OPR1000), which is used at ten of Korea's 23 reactors, and also its latest APR1400 reactor, which is under construction at four sites in Korea and has been exported to the UAE. Work on the APR+ design began in 2007. The regulator approved the standard APR+ design on 14 August 2014.
