A shortage of engineers and other skilled professionals has long been identified as a cause for concern in the delivery of major UK infrastructure projects, but the huge challenge of constructing the facilities for the London 2012 Olympics has placed renewed emphasis on this. With the UK on the world stage, the country cannot fail to deliver.
