The UK must be "more ambitious" in its plans for a new generation of nuclear plants for the country, prime minister Gordon Brown said towards the end of May - in fact, a day after power supply failure blacked-out parts of London, East Anglia, the southeast and the northwest.Mr Brown said that it was clear that it is not just a question of replacing retiring UK reactor units. "We'll be more ambitious in our planning", he added.
