NDA income rises by more than 33%

The UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) saw its income rise by more than a third in the financial year 2008-2009, partly because of higher sales from two of the country's oldest nuclear power plants. The NDA made £2billion in the year to the end of March 2009 - up by £517million on the previous year. The NDA said that this allowed the government grant, part of its funding, to be reduced from £1.6billion for 2007-2008 to £898million.
