Test work on the VTR has demonstrated that good quality glass can be made at 32, 35 and 38wt% using Magnox waste and it has equivalent properties to glass made at 25wt%. An operational envelope has been defined which provides an opportunity for WVP to adopt high throughput high incorporation glass production thereby producing fewer containers and making valuable cost savings.
