Gregg graduated with a BSc and PhD in metallurgy, and worked in BNFL and its predecessor UKAEA for 32 years in a variety of roles including R&D, commercial and planning, plant and site management, across the fuelrncycle from fuel, via enrichment, to reprocessing, decommissioning and waste management. He has spent the last 12 years as a consultant (with Integrated Decision Management Ltd) and as anrnacademic, holding a chair in Science in Sustainable Development at the University of Manchester. He also served on the Radioactive Waste Management Advisory Committee, leading working groups examining MoD waste and the UK Waste Inventory. His current research interests include the sustainability of nuclear power, proportional regulation and decision-making techniques.
