The Nuclear Institute's Annual Golf Tournament - 2010

The annual golf tournament of the Nuclear Institute took place this year at the Portal Premier Golf Club on 29th July. Twenty eight players took part; seven teams of four players represented AMEC, NII, Risktec, Rolls Royce and NRL. The event is organised each year by Mike Davies (AMEC) and this is the twelfth year for the tournament. The teams play for the magnificent President's Bowl, which was donated in 1999 by the former INucE President, Mike Robbins. In keeping with the last few years, July turned out to be a rather wet month, and we had light rain in the morning. Thankfully this moved away, but the wet fairways made the course play longer than normal, and many found it difficult to judge the speed of the greens. Despite this, a number of players came in with good scores.
