National Audit Office report highlights 'significant risk' of new-build delays

Experiences in other European countries suggest that there is a "significant risk" that new nuclear power plants proposed for the UK will not be delivered to planned timetables, a report to Parliament has concluded. The National Audit Office report says construction will have to progress in line with "demanding timetables" if the first new nuclear reactor is to be completed on schedule by 2019.
