Last issue we asked: In what innovative ways have you demonstrated the work of the nuclear industry to a student audience? Here's our featured response: "In the past, I organised debates on the pros and cons of nuclear energy in Parliament, which included MPs, Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. It provided a balanced debate that groups such as Young Labour, Conservative Future and the Young Fabians could take on board and decide for themselves whether they supported nuclear as a contributor to a balanced energy mix. I held similar debates in schools for younger students and gave the groups the opportunity to vote. I was repeatedly encouraged by the results that showed that, given the facts, young people are supportive of nuclear as a low carbon source of secure energy."
