Nuvia Limited and the UK's Nuclear Heritage

Harwell Science and Innovation Campus has long been synonymous with atomic energy and research and under the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), the site quickly became the centre of the UK civil nuclear programme, with over 6,000 people employed by the late 1950s.Much of the early work undertaken by the UKAEA at Harwell focused on development of reactor designs to confirm scientific theory, with pioneering development being delivered by the AEA Technology Nuclear Engineering division, which later went on to become part of Nuvia Limited, a leading international nuclear engineering, project management and services contractor.
