This period has seen the completion of the fourth full year of operation of the NI NW Branch. The NW Branch Committee has been vigorous and far-sighted in its outlook strategy and has taken full account of nuclear power developments in the NW region both in the new build and decommissioning and waste management fields, as well as supporting the initiatives of other institutions in educational spheres. Two evening lectures have taken place during this period: 1. 'Medical Applications of Nuclear Technology' by Dr Prakash Manoharan, Christies Hospital, Manchester 2. 'SIAL Encapsulation Technology' by David Holton, Amec, Harwell.
