The Nuclear Institute is delighted to announce the appointment of its new CEO, Sarah Beacock, with effect from February 2017. She takes over the reins from Alastair Laird, who has been acting as interim CEO for the last few months. Beacock's last role was skills and capability director at the Energy Institute (El), where she was responsible for the El's membership, education, training, branches and international activities. She joined the former Institute of Energy in 2002 and on its merger with the Institute of Petroleum became professional affairs director. In her more recent role, she co-ordinated all the El's IT needs and also led on the development of staff capability. Since 2012, she has developed four staffed international branches and overseen the growth in membership and training activity within the El.
