The fuel cycle - performance of the first charge fuel and the way forward

Sizewell B, the UK's first pressurized water reactor, was taken critical in January 1995, and the first cycle operation has been extremely succesful. This paper reviews the first, year's fuel performance, the refuelling process and the enhancements made for future operations.
