摘要

When this series of three articles started, COVID-19 was only just emerging as a global pandemic and we were still expecting COP26 to be held in November this year. While our immediate priorities may have changed, the need to decarbonise our generation mix while ensuring we provide reliable and accessible access to electricity to all remains strong as ever.At this time we need to be able to rely, every second of the day, on a stable electricity supply. The huge efforts of medical staff worldwide depend on the ventilators, the monitors and all the other electrical equipment that is proving so vital. With social distancing and remote working being imposed throughout the world, our ability to work, to collaborate and to stay in contact with friends and family is also dependent on those companies and their employees who are dealing with challenging circumstances to maintain a reliable supply of electricity.
