The method involves controlling loads (9) on a side (29) of house installations supplied with energy by a medium voltage network (36) by using a network control center (35). The energy is stored in the loads. The energy stored in the load are detected by using a temperature sensor (8) and a flowmeter (12) and correlated with a future energy requirement. Energy requirement values correlated with the future energy requirement are transmitted to the control center, so that the future energy requirement is completely assigned for the loads. The loads are designed as electric water heaters, refrigerating machines and batteries. An independent claim is also included for a power supply system.
