It's good to be young - WiN Cumbria's first birthday celebration

The Women in Nuclear Cumbria branch held its first birthday celebration on March 8 at Energus, Lillyhall, in West Cumbria. Over the course of the year, WiN Cumbria has shown its commitment to improving gender equality, opening the door for others, and engaging and representing gender balance at all career stages. To create continuity in how these objectives are carried through to the future, WiN Cumbria formed a Succession Committee. The committee comprises promising professionals from across the industry who are invested in the sustainability of WiN UK goals. It is charged with bringing gender equality to the table as a key issue, so that current and future generations can benefit from a more diverse and inclusive workplace. Laura Johnson and Saskia May, two members of the Succession Committee, took the mantle to lead 150 attendees through an active workshop on believing you can make a difference.
