Synchrotron radiation (SR) has many excellent features and thus is a powerful tool for basic research fields. Recently compact SR sources have been developed and are installed in universities and private companies to study industrial SR applications. This paper describes SR application research carried out at NTT SR facility, which includes atomospheric photochemical reactions, photochemical processing of materials, surface physics of semiconductors, and X-ray optical devices.
