The Effect of the Nonlinear Transfer Function of the Satellite Okean's Radar on Characteristics of the Output Signal

Frequency moments of random signals at the output of a system with a limitation from above are calculated. The mean value and variance of the output signal as a function of the signal intensity at the input of the receiver are presented. It is shown that estimates of distortions introduced by the signal processor allow one to restore the true characteristics of raw radar images provided by the Okean satellites and other similar systems.
