Detection―Discrimination of Signals in Asynchronous Communication Systems in the Presence of Fading

The problem of simultaneous detection and discrimination of M signals with unknown lime positions at the output of a communication channel with common fading is considered. The theory of random outliers of non-Gaussian random processes is used to find and study characteristics of the simultaneous signal detection and discrimination of signals within a large prior interval containing many delay-discrimination cells.
