摘要

An efficient method is proposed for solving the problem of electromagnetic-wave diffraction from a group of objects. Scattering patterns are decomposed in vector spherical harmonics to reduce the problem to a system of algebraic equations. It is shown that the method exhibits a high convergence rate. The scattering patterns of certain single objects are compared to the scattering patterns of the bodies formed from halves of these objects. The validity of the optical theorem is checked.
