摘要

The calculated optical characteristics and the technology for the structure formation of multichannel optical splitters are presented. The splitters are based on planar optical waveguides made of silica glass obtained via microwave plasma chemical deposition. Multimode splitters of the 16 × 16 type for the fiber optic data-transmission systems are produced with the use of the planar waveguides.
