摘要

The national biology lesson continued last week in Judge Lance Ito's courtroom. As prosecutor Rockne Harmon presented the second stage of the state's DNA case, he lived up to his boast that the mountain of DNA evidence would "cascade right where it belonged—on Mr. Simpson." According to prosecution witness Gary Sims, a senior criminalist with the California Department of Justice DNA Lab, the odds that blood drops at the murder scene came from an assailant other than Simpson were 240,000 to 1. And the chance that the blood found on Simpson's socks at his home did not come from Nicole Brown was a microscopic 1 in 21 billion.
