The techies in the mccain campaign had it all figured out. When the Arizona senator proclaimed victory in the New Hampshire primary last Tuesday night, they made sure the candidate was positioned in front of a giant blue banner with the campaign's Web address— McCain2000.com—plainly visible. Curious TV viewers who then surfed onto the Web site were treated to a pop-up window touting the New Hampshire success. By scrolling down the visitors saw just what the campaign wanted them to see: "Click here to contribute today."
