On A Day of work drudg- ery, it was a chance meeting that put Tina Ayer on a cloud. Ayer, a 33-year-old house- keeper at the Fair-field Inn in Warwick, R.I., happened to bump into Jack Russell, the lead singer of Great White, one of her favorite '80s heavy- metal bands. The singer told her the band was playing in a local club that night, and gave her a couple of passes to the show. Daz- zled over her stroke of luck, Ayer invited her friend Jackie Bernard, and the two of them headed to The Station on Thursday night.
