Vulcan Railcars and Frichs Engines

I have not met any person who has driven and worked on the Vulcan railcars in ordinary service. More than 25 years have elapsed. I have, however, read various articles in a number of journals and have only found praise for the Vulcan cars - contrary to comments about other NZR railcars. It has to be remembered that the Vulcans were used on demanding railway lines,and that the railcars did many kilometres in theirrnactive life.
