DOT: Federal Funds May Be Spent On Y2K

Trying to ward off computer glitches in the nation's "intelligent" traffic infrastructure, the Department of Transportation (DOT) said July 27 that states and localities may use regularly allocated federal funds for Year 2000-reLated repairs. Field offices of the Federal Highway and Transit Administrations will expedite the reviews necessary for such approvals.
