On the Leading Edge of Manufacturing Science and Technology Photon Measurement and Processing Technology Development

摘要

As a result of the leading studies on "Photon Technology" and "Advanced Instrumentation and Analysis Technology", we have reached the conclusion that the "Photon Measuring and Processing Technology" project should focus on the development of laser process technology, laser-based measurement and control technology and laser oscillator technology. It has been determined to adopt (1) the laser junction technology which promises the earliest commercial application of all the process technologies and involves the greatest economic benefit, and (2) laser assisted ultra-fine particle processing technology (ultra-fine functional structures production process technology) which is a future processing technology having a powerful social impact. Of these process technologies, study will be made on the model reference adaptive control technology at the junction site based on the in-process monitoring, and ultra-fine particle generation process control technology in plasma produced by laser irradiation.
