When Tim Haynes and Martin Wilson founded Nujira in 2002 they had big plans for their tiny company. In principle their scheme looked straightforward: create a device to slash energy used by cellphone networks. There was just one hurdle. "We started the company knowing there was a problem, and knowing what the solution was," Haynes recalls. "But we didn't have a clue how to build it."rnSeven years on, Haynes and his colleagues seem to have created their answer. In February the first product to use their technology was unveiled, a device that promises to reduce CO_2 emissions by more than 250,000 tonnes a year in the UK alone.
