Stem cell elixir

摘要

Mice bred to age more rapidly than normal lived two to three times longer than expected after being injected with stem-cell-like cells derived from the muscle of young, healthy animals (Nature Communications, DOI: 10.1038/ ncommsl611). The results suggest that stem-cell dysfunction is a cause of age-related changes.
