We're jumping to hyperspeed. By 2030, an uncrewed spyplane will be able to fly at Mach 6 - six times the speed of sound. Engineers at Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works lab in Palmdale, California, claim to have solved a problem that has so far prevented aircraft flying faster than Mach 3.
