The nascent commercial space-flight industry experienced something old and something new on 29 September. One company, Orbital Sciences of Dulles, Virginia, docked a craft with, and delivered cargo to, the International Space Station (ISS). It is only the second commercial entity to do this, but it is a capability that government agencies have long had.
