Our intelligence, the very trait we like to think makes us the pinnacle of evolution, could be our undoing. "Human beings tend to think being clever is such a good thing, but it might be that from an evolutionary perspective, being stupid is much better," says philosopher Thomas Metzinger of the University of Mainz, Germany.
