Sogecable takes lead on MHP in Spain, to be followed by revamped DTT

Sogecable, operator of the Spanish digital-satellite platform Digital Plus, is to launch decoders using the MHP standard for interactive television in the autumn. The move, which has still to be announced officially, could help kick-start MHP, the open standard devised by European digital-television body the DVB, in the Spanish market where, to date, interactive television has had relatively little impact.
