Digital UK gives retailers lessons in digital TV

Digital UK, the body responsible for co-ordinating digital switchover in the UK, has launched a training scheme to educate shop floor staff at electrical retailers on the key information regarding digital switchover. The initiative, called Ask Digital, is part of Digital UK's latest national information campaign to increase consumer awareness of switchover. It is aimed at both large retail chains and smaller, independent firms. Ian Adams, business development director at Digital UK, said that the scheme had been created following discussions with the UK's major electrical chains, such as Dixons and Comet, and Retra, the Radio, Electrical and Television Retailers' Association.
