Box drought resolved soon, says Freesat

Freesat said this week that it was confident that stock shortages for its set-top boxes would be resolved shortly, after retailers across the country struggled to cope with consumer demand for the new product. Only two of Freesat's four high-street retail partners - Argos and John Lewis - had Freesat receivers for sale this week. The Freesat website says that "due to very high demand, there is a shortage of Freesat HD boxes in the shops at the moment". James Atkins, Freesat marketing manager, admitted that there had been "teething problems" with stock availability but said that these would be resolved soon.
