Viasat, the pay-television operator owned by Modern Times Group (MTG), is looking to provide channel packages to IPTV platforms outside the territories where it operates as it seeks to expand its role as a content aggregator.rnThe company, which targets the Nordic and Baltic region, started supplying programs to other operators in 2008 through an agreement with Telia, the Swedish incumbent telecommunications operator which runs an IPTV service. It now offers packages to IPTV operators in Scandinavia and in Estonia.rnUlrik Bengtsson, chief executive of MTG for pay television in emerging markets, said that the operator was now looking at offering program packages to IPTV operators in its other markets of Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine.
