Solaris Mobile, the joint venture of satellite operators Eutelsat and SES Astra, is set to bring forward its procurement of additional capacity following serious damage to the satellite from which it had planned to launch services.rnThe company earlier this month filed a claim with its insurers for the full insured value of the S-band payload of the Eutelsat W2A satellite, which was launched on April 3.rnDespite that, Solaris is confident that it will be able to offer limited service from the stricken craft. While the scale originally planned will be impossible, there should nonetheless be scope to offer most of the services envisaged.
