French cable operator Numericable is seeking to overcome its reputation for poor customer service as it tries to increase take-up of its high-speed broadband network and advanced television services. Numericable, owned by private-equity companies Cinven and Carlyle, said last week that it had 152,000 customers for its 100Mbps service out of 3.2 million homes passed by the fiber network and able to receive it - a penetration of 4.75%.
