The European Commission is set to revise its first draft of a new framework for funding public-service broadcasting following strong opposition to the original document from member states and MEPs. Officials at the Commission are understood to have made it clear that there will be a second draft for a new Broadcasting Communication (BC), although an official decision is not expected until the Commission has assessed consultation responses to its first draft.
