Electrodeposited copper foil plant boosts production capacity

Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co Ltd has decided to build a new plant at a Malaysian site next to its existing base for the mass-production of electrodeposited copper foil in Asia, Mitsui Copper Foil (Malaysia) SDN BHD (MCF), to substantially expand its production capacity.rnIt is estimated that investment in the construction of this new plant will total ￥15 billion, and the unit will eventually have the capacity to produce 1200 t of electrodeposited copper foil a month.
