LG Display launches solar cell electronic book

LG Display Co Ltd, which has its headquarteres in Seoul, South Korea has unveiled an electronic book reader (e-Reader) equipped with a solar cell which was developed in-house.rnThe thin-film solar cell featured in the e-Reader measures 10 cm square, and is developed to fit with the 15.2 cm (6 inches) display panel for e-books currently mass-produced by the company. The solar cell is 0.7 mm thick and weighs 20 g, which is thinner than a credit card and the approximate weight of a fountain pen.
