River Lee pedestrian crossing plans unveiled

Plans for a new lifting pedestrian bridge over the River Lee in east London were revealed this week. Consultant Davies Maguire & Whitby has developed an outline design for developer Ballymore Group as part of plans for new commercial and housing units on Linrmo Peninsula just 3km from the Olympic Park. The proposed 81m long bridge is a vital part of Ballymore's plans to redevelop the Peninsula as it provides a link to Canning Town station.
