ICE and British Standards Institution team up to offer advice on Eurocodes

Over the past 18 months, I have been working with colleagues at the ICE and standards body BSI to improve members' knowledge of Eurocodes developments. We are now delighted to be able to announce a partnership between both organisations to support engineers in their transition to Eurocodes. This month the Department of Communities and Local Government was due to amend the Building Regulations 2010 Approved Document A on structural safety, which references the current set of British Standards, generally known as Eurocodes. By doing so, the construction industry is offered an alternative, up-to-date, technical solution for meeting regulatory requirements.
