May Gurney poised to pick up Suffolk Roads contract

Suffolk County Council cabinet members were this week being asked to rubber stamp a decision to make a May Gurney/WSP joint venture preferred bidder for its ￡2OoM five year highway services contract. Balfour Beatty had originally been named preferred bidder in January but withdrew after failing to agree terms for the transfer of staff from Suffolk and Ipswich Borough Council under Tupe regulations (NCE 31 January).
