An image featuring the new BBC studios in Cardiff has won the 2017 "This is civil engineering in Wales" photo competition run by ICE Wales Cymru. Arup senior engineer Greg Garson, won the £200 first prize following a unanimous vote by the award panel. Sean Hughes won second place for his waste sector image. Third place went to Morning Shadows by Matthew Hartley, also showing the BBC Cardiff development. Awards were made in made in the Fairness, Inclusion and Respect, Heritage and Under-16 categories.
