IP/STM/ATM CONVERGED NEXT GENERATION NETWORK

摘要

The Internet and mobile telecommunication traffic is rapidly growing, and impacts a framework of the next generation telecommunication networks. It is required to handle(and converge)the traffic economically and effectively with the traffic of the existing fixed telephone networks. This paper describes the concept of the new network architecture that will achieve converged routing of different traffic streams such as IP, STM(telephony) and ATM. It also studies the methodology and technology on the service node architecture that materializes the concept.
