Toward IP based cellular system- lub Ip transport simulations

摘要

This paper shows the performance of IP transport of 3GPP (3rd Generation partnership Project) release 5 architecture. Toward the IP based cellular system, NEC's all IP network architecture converges various kinds of fixed and mobile access networks and provides solid transport services with certain quality and configuration flexibility through the open application interfaces. Istead of ATM, IP is considered as transport of RAN (Radio Access Network) interfaces. Since Ip has been implmented on many link layer technologies, it is neces- sary to clarify which technologies are appropriate for IP transport.
