The AEGIS Movement

The AEGIS Project is one of the greatest programs in the history of our nation. It is one of the largest in terms of national investment, longest running at more than 40 years and counting, and most successful. Clearly there are many other claimants to "the greatest" appellation-the Manhattan Project, the Air Force's Ballistic Missile Program, the Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine Project, the Navy's Nuclear Power Program, and a number of Skunk Works efforts come quickly to mind.
