Fastenings usually are not shown on scale models as they tend to be distractedly over scale. Most Admiralty models are held together primarily with glue. The modeler of today has a seemingly endless number of adhesives with various properties to suit his or her needs. Modern adhesives are now used in fabricating full-sized boats in the "cold-molded" method of construction.
