Loose Cannon's 1:700 Scale HMS Furious 1918

The Royal Navy's HMS Furious probably has the most extensive combat record of any aircraft carrier prior to the post World War Ⅱ era. Originally laid down as one of Admiral Fisher's large light cruisers, supposedly for his "Baltic operation/' it was completed as a very large and fast seaplane carrier to operate with the Grand Fleet. This modification was relatively simple; the forward 18-inch gun turret was removed and replaced with a hangar ahead of the bridge and a parallel-sided flying-off deck, supported by heavily-pierced steel plate, over the forecastle.
